Ben Dixon
Ben Dixon began his martial arts study at the age of 12 under Master Phil Purvis. He was the owner of a traditional based Kung Fu school in Mt Juliet, Tennessee.
Ben studied the art for 3 years before starting an early career at playing the drums in a local rock band, at the age of 15. Ben was "off the mat", so to speak, until 19 when he started boxing and studying briefly at a Karate school.
He immediately felt uncomfortable in the more rigid Karate style. One evening working at Lone Wolf Tattoo, (A business Ben opened here in Nashville in 1993.) Mike Jones walked in and asked to get a Dragon Tattoo. It was that day that introduced Ben to the FAMILY OF KUNG FU SAN SOO.
Ben began training under Master Bat McGrath, Master Bobby Staton, Master Mike McGrath, and Mike Jones on October 4th 1997, His 25th Birthday.

He obtained the ranking of black belt under the teachings of Master Staton in October 2000. Soon after he started the Lebanon Full Moon Dojo, with one student Jeremy Mosley.
Ben is currently a 6th degree black belt. Ben has trained in Cane, Rape Prevention, Extreme Leverages, Staff, Hand Gun, & Security.
He also spent 4 years working the independant pro wrestling circuit.
He has trained under Dory Funk Jr. and held the NWA Hardcore Championship.
Ben teaches in Lebanon and his house, and continues his studies at "The Bat Cave". Ben teaches in the same "pure" way that he was taught in. Ben is a vital part of our Nashville community.
