Mike Jones
Mike Jones is a Certified Personal Protection Specialist, Seventh Degree Black Belt and a Certified Instructor in the art of Kung Fu San Soo.
He teaches at First Baptist Church Recreation Center in downtown Nashville as well as at The Caterpillar Financial YMCA for Caterpillar employees.
He has taught Nashville Kung Fu San Soo’s Real World Self Defense at the Cool Springs and Donelson YMCA as well as to various companies and individuals. He recently was fortunate to help conduct a Seminar for Army Reserve Troops here in Nashville.
He studied a little bit of Ishin Ru Karate in Memphis under Master Khang Rhee and Head Instructor Bill “Superfoot” Wallace in 1972.
After attending the Executive Protection Institute in 1991, Mike decided to resume his search for the right Martial Art for him. He remembered meeting Master Bat McGrath through a mutual friend, and looked him up. |
 Unbelievably lucky to find Bat in Nashville, and with only a couple of other people studing this art and Nashville at this time, Mike began to study privately under Master McGrath until the rank of Black Belt.
Mike feels that he owes a great debt of respect and honor for Master McGrath, Bat’s Teacher Master Chuck Cory, and of course the late Jimmy H. Woo.

He is insistent on keeping this art pure and passing it on as it was passed on to him, nothing more.
He is now lucky enough to be learning from Master Chuck Cory, Master Bat Mcgrath, and Master Bobby Staton. What a combination !
Mike has not only been trained and certified in the fields of Personal Protection, Security, and Protective Driving, but has actively been involved in this line of work for 25 years.
Mike is also the President and Founder of Guardian Angel Driver Service, a unique company that provides driving and protection services for many celebrities, executives, and business owners.
